Mr. Harmon @ Euclid High School

My name is Jim Harmon and this is my fifth year teaching in the Euclid City Schools. This is my fifteenth year in education, having worked as a teacher in the Cleveland City Schools and as a technology resource teacher in the Cleveland Heights-University Heights Schools. I also spent two years at Cleveland State University working as a staff member in the College of Education and Human Services. I have a BFA in Photojournalism from Rochester Institute of Technology and my license in English as well as my Masters in Educational Technology are from Cleveland State University. I also teach teachers how to use technology in the graduate teacher education program at Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea.

I have the highest of expectations for each and every one of my students. I further expect that their families have the same high expectations. I share many goals with the Euclid City School District. Among these goals is to have students successfully pass the Ohio Graduation Test (OGT) and to give students an opportunity to improve reading, writing and communication skills through a variety of methods. I want students to leave my class at the end of the year thinking that the time spent in it was worthwhile and interesting, and that they learned something of value.

I teach because I believe I can make a difference in the lives of my students and they can make a difference in mine.

If you'd like to conference with me about your child's progress in my class, you may schedule an appointment by calling my voice mail at 216-261-2900 x7915 or click the email link below.
